Week Two: Practice Empathy

Last week saw the start of my 52 Weeks of Kindness series.  I’m thrilled at the response and that we have a chance together to make 2018 a year of kindness.

This week’s challenge or tip is to practice empathy.

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view… Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

My week one act of kindness is to donate unwanted Christmas presents.

There are plenty of worthy charities in need of unwanted or extra gifts.  Presents can be donated to the Pro Cathedral which will be given to individuals in need next Christmas by Crosscare.  Gifts can be donated to refuges, children’s groups, hospitals and many other deserving organisations.  Did you get another pair of pyjamas or a dressing gown that you don’t want? They would be very welcome in a homeless shelter.  Maybe you got  a dress that isn’t for you which could be put to better use in a refuge.  Perhaps your little one got an extra toy which would be played … Read the rest
